Auto Parts/Fuel Filter Replacement on '95 Sunfire

Question
Hi, I was just curious as to the location of the fuel filter on a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire, with a 2.2L engine. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, and save me $25 from buying the Haynes Manual!  Thanks!

Answer
I don't have a book for this car, either, but almost all GM cars have the fuel filter in the same place (fuel injected cars, that is).  You should find it tucked next to the frame rail (or what passes for one in a unibody car) just forward of the gas tank.  It's usually easier, especially on a small car like this, to take the wheel off on that side when you are doing the work, it'll give you more room to move around.  You'll need the special tool used to free the quick-connect fittings on the filter from the fuel line.  You'll also want to bleed the pressure from the system just before doing the job in order to avoid gasoline in your eyeballs (very painful).  Make sure you chock the other wheel, put on the emergency brake, and use a jack stand or something else substantial to support the car while you're working on it (cars falling on you also hurt a lot, I speak from experience).
