Question
what would be a fair price to replace a leaky spider injector for 96 chevy tahoe

Answer
I would guess that the labor would be between two and three hundred dollars, it's a bit of a job to get into the space and back out again.  One injector is not very expensive, but I would consider replacing the entire injector assembly, 'cause another one is going to leak eventually and there is no sense in paying that labor bill twice.  It's another two or three hundred dollars (depending on who they source the injector assembly from) but the extra peace of mind would be worth it.  For the record, I have never though much of this system.  It's only advantage is that it was cheaper for GM to install and manufacture on the assembly line.  If you're wondering why GM is in trouble, take a good look at the old injector assembly after they take it out.  Maybe you could mail it to Obama so he can look at it.
