Question
I have a 96 toyota camry 2.2 I brought it to the dealer ship for a diagnostic and was told the idle air control valve needed replacing. I bought it at auto zone and when I went to change I can't find it on the engine. Do you know where I find it at because I look on the intake manifold and the throttle body area and can't find it. thanks for the help.

Answer
It should be screwed to the throttle body.  It functions by allowing air to bypass the throttle, thereby regulating the idle speed.  There are three hoses hooked to it, and one largish weatherproof plug.  It's held on by four bolts.  It may be behind or beneath the part of the throttle assembly as viewed from the front of the car.  Are you sure that they sold you the right part?  It's fairly distinctive in appearance.
