Ir an Alt fuse blows out; will your auto still start?

Answer
    Depends on how the car is wired.  On a lot of Japanese cars the same fuse link that carries power into the battery from the alternator will also carry juice out into the car prior to starting.  It may help supply voltage for the operation of the starter relay or solenoid.  If it's blown you need to replace it anyway 'cause a dead battery will definitely not start the car.
