Question
i have a 1994 honda accord but every time it gets below a half a tank of gas, it waill randomly miss and then if i stop, it will sputter and shut off.

Answer
Could be several things.  Now I'd like to know, when it shuts off, do you have to put more gas in it to get it going again?.  Does it take a lot of gas to fill it the rest of the way up?  What I'm getting at here is: could the gauge be wrong and the tank actually empty?  If we're sure that's not the case then it has to either be a huge slug of water and contaminates in the tank, or the fuel pickup is damaged and no longer picks up from the bottom.  I would also change the filter on general purposes.  Any way you look at it, no matter what's wrong with it, that tank has to come out and the pickup/gauge sender assembly has to come out of the tank.
