Question
I HAVE A 74 FORD F350 FLAT BED DUALY WITH A 302 2BARREL MOTOR. THE CARB IS JUNK AND I WANT TO REPLACE IT WITH A HOLY. WHAT HOLY CARB DO YOU RECOMENED?

Answer
The right Holley for that use would be a 4412.   It is designed to fit on a Ford and is a 500cfm 2bbl carb, just the right size for your engine.  I have to say, though, that the Ford 2bbl carb that the truck came with is a very simple and reliable unit.  It is very easy to rebuild and much less trouble, usually, than a Holley equivalent.  If you are having troubles with the engine, they are probably ignition related.  Almost every time someone tells me their carb is junk, they end up having to do the tune-up when replacing the carb doesn't help at all.  If you've done the tune-up and checked out the ignition, then replacing the carb is your only other option.
