Question
Hi Mike,

Could you please tell me where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country / 3.3L engine?

Thanks.

Answer
It inserts into the side of the block just above the oil pan rail and is held in with a single screw.  I don't know whether it is in the front side (if you're lucky) or the back side (d'oh!).  Either way, it is very easy to change once you've managed to get a wrench to it.  Make sure you disconnect the battery before you start the process, and don't reconnect it until you're done.  It will then take a while for the ECM to relearn its programming, maybe a twenty mile drive or so.
