Question
Hello, I have a 2002 Chevrolet 1500 silverado extended cab and I'm looking for a part for it.  The vents in the back seat do not work and air continuously blows on our feet in the front.  We looked in the floorboard and it looks like it is missing a piece of vent there that connects to the box underneath the cup holder.  Do you know the name of this piece and do you know where I can easily purchase one online.  Thanks so much

Answer
I have no idea what GM might call this part.  I am also certain that it is going to have to come from a Chevy dealer.  There are a few which sell parts online, but they charge a lot and don't cut any slack on shipping either.  If this was me, I would go straight to the nearest big salvage yard.  They're bound to have a few late model Silverados on the lot and would most likely be glad to sell you as many of those under-the-seat parts as you wanted for a very low price, provided that you remove them yourself.  This is almost always the best source for any of the fiddly bits in the interior of any car or truck.
