Question
I have a 98 bmw 528i and it wont start. it just clicks. i tried jumping it from the trunk as well as under the hood and still it just clicks. could it be the starter or something eles?

Answer
If it just clicks once, then it's probably the starter.  It may be the starter relay, but I don't know if or where the relay is on this model.  Most newer cars have the relay built into the starter assembly.   If it goes: click-click-click-click, then it's the battery  or the cables--not enough voltage getting to the starter.
