Question
ok so i have a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gs 5 speed. when in first and second gear there is a vibration but only if i accelerate at a decent amount. i have a motor mount to be replaced but can that be the cause of the vibration...after i get into third it doesnt vibrate ne more which makes me believe its the planetary.... i guess my question is could it be just the mount...would it cause the vibration?

Answer
What you've described is exactly what a busted mount would do.  If you really want to eliminate the problem (and this is what I'd do if it were my car) replace ALL of the mounts at the same time.  Then you shouldn't have to worry about it for the remaining life of the car.
