Question
What is the name of the part that connects the tail pipe to the einging? ( what I am talking about is like some criss-cross wires...what's the name of that?) I need that part.

    Sounds like what you are describing is the "flex joint."  Sometimes it is a separate piece and sometimes it is welded to the pipe in front of it.  On the Taurus it is actually part of the converter assembly.  Because it is made of stainless steel, it generally cannot be repaired.  A new one is about $250.
