Question
trying to replace my o2 sensor for bank 2 sensor 1 keep getting different answers on where bank 2 is on a mitsubishi montero sport 3.5 liter v6

Answer
Bank 2 is the exhaust manifold connecting the rearmost cylinders on each throw of the crank.  If you look at the front of the engine, you will notice that the bank of cylinders on one side sits slightly closer to the front than those on the other side.  The cylinders closest to the front are bank 1 and the others are bank 2.
