Question
i have a 1994 chevy s10 blazer with a 4.3 vortec vin w. it has a service engine light on, so i ran a scan and it came up with a code 23- manifold air temperature sensor. well that was easy enough but.. when i went to the two local parts store webpages and looked up that vehicle they did not list that part. is there another name for it ie: air charge sensor, or is it actually the intake temp sensor that is located in the intake tube? not sure which sensor i am supposed to get. also would this sensor cause a slight rough idle?

Answer

AX32
It's generally called an air charge temperature sensor in GM vehicles.  They all use the same one.  Standard Motor Parts uses the number AX32, I'll include a picture.  Neither of these local parts stores sound like they know what they're doing, however.  You might want to find an independent parts store, instead of a chain store, and a guy with a little gray in his hair.
