Auto Parts/jeep transfer case

Question
I am building a 97 Jeep Wrangler and need to know if the transfer case from a 92 cherokee 6 cyl 4.0 with an automatic trans will work for my 97 6 cyl 4.0 manual (ax-15) wrangler.  I know it will bolt up and has the correct spline count, but after that i'm not sure.  Thanks

Answer
You would have to get a new flex plate to replace the flywheel in the manual transmission car, and the correct torque converter (you may be able to use the one that comes with the auto trans).  Then you would have to replace the ECM with one from an auto trans and reflash it to work in your vehicle.  There may also be problems with the speedo sender, the shifter, and the anti-lock system (if it has one).  You could probably replace the whole thing with a non-computer Chevy unit just as easily and cheaply.
