Question
the traction control of my truck is not working and all the indicators on the dash are lit(VSC ON - VSC OFF)
Where is the traction control module located in the vehicle?, does it control anything else?

thankyou...

Answer
Traction control is a function of the ABS system.  It is all controlled by the same black box, traction control, vehicle stability control (yaw control), and anti-lock brakes.  These are also linked to the engine control computer.  Don't mess with any of this stuff, it is highly unlikely that the computer itself is at fault.  If it was my truck I would take it to the dealer.  Toyota uses proprietary codes and software in all their vehicles, making it very difficult for even a professional independent mechanic to diagnose and repair.  Even the security system is almost impossible to service outside the dealer.  I know that the dealer charges too much, but you will save money and time (time is, after all, money) in the long run by taking it there.
