Auto Parts/Trailer hitch compatibility from 1986 to 1995 Chevy Suburban

Mike,
I recently purchased a 1995 Chev. Suburban to replace my old 1986 Chev.Suburban, and am wondering if the receiver hitch from the 1986 will also fit on the 1995. Both are 2 wheel drives. Thanks so much.

If the old hitch was a "universal" hitch, it might. These aren't very good hitches, though, and I would avoid them. You should buy a good-quality (Valley, Draw-Tite) custom fit hitch for the 1995 'cause it is a completely different truck with almost nothing in common with the 1986.
