Hi Mike-
I have a 2001 Mazda 626 that has a delayed shift from 2nd to 3rd when cold. I have read about a product called Friktiontek for the tranny that claims to solve these types of problems but do not know mucyh about it. Are you familiar with this product? In your experience, does it help? Thanks for the input.
There are a lot of additives sold for use in balky automatic transmissions. A transmission tech I know flat-out told me that none of them are worth a damn. You might get temporary relief from your problem, but you'll be back in the transmission shop before too long.
