Question
My1992 cadillac sedan deville has 103,000 plus milage. It seems like its switching gears when I apply pressure on the gas service engine light comes on and kicks in to regluar gear when let up on the gas the light goes off and its back dragging again. I think it my transmission going out thats wat I as told. Am I right. How can I find the ratio, stock no. and do it have coachbuild, traction control for my trans without taking it out the car. My engine is 4.9 v8. HELP ME PLEASE.

Answer
It may be bad, or it may just need to be repaired.  My advice is to go to a trans shop and have them look at it.  Regardless of what's wrong, you're not going to want to try fixing it yourself.  Try and find a shop that is not involved in a franchise.
