Question
i have a 2004 Volvo s60 4door sedan needs right and left door mirrors. found a set of mirrors from a 2001 volvo v70 will the mirrors from the 2001 volvo v70 fit my 2004 s60 volvo? thanks for any you can give me.carlos

Hello Carlos,

Having reviewed the part dimensions and guides for both vehicles, I have determined the following.

The parts will fit each other, however, it appears that some minor shaving will be needed on the back of the mirror (the side that faces the car door) in order to get the edges to fit nicely into the mounting space.  The shaving will be minimal not more then a 1/16 of an inch all the way around the edges, however, if you would rather have one that will fit perfectly with no modification, I suggest replacement with parts for your specific make model and year.  If they are not available at the auto part store or if they are too pricey, I recommend a salvage yard or ebay, they may have the same parts for less, although some paint color matching may be required, and the parts may be used not new.
