I am re-building the Mazda MA 1970cc engine of my Mazda 929 wagon. The machinist said the engine block is not good and I need to get another one. It is very difficult to find parts for the MA engine. Is there any other model of engines from which the block might work?

The 2.0L Mazda MA engine is also used in these vehicles:

1981–1982 Mazda Luce/Mazda Cosmo
1975–1980 Mazda Luce/929
1979–1982 Mazda Capella/626
1977–1985 Mazda B2000
1977–1985 Ford Courier
1977-1984 Mazda Bongo

I am unsure of the availability of these in your country, but your best bet would probably be consult your local Car Wrecker. They may be able to provide you with a used block in satisfactory condition.

If you continue to have trouble sourcing parts, you may have to import them from another country, which you will likely be able to do over the Internet.

It may also be possible to repair your current block, depending on the severity of the damage.
