Question
hi,

What are your feelings on formula one racing. I think it is AWESOME. I like Honda very much. What about you?.

An anxious racer

Answer
Hello Undrito, thanks for your question.

It's funny you know, my love for F1 grows and shrinks depending on how exciting it is and whether I have an interest in it at any particular time. If for example you are the fan of a team, it is always good as you are very much connected just as any fan of any team in any sport is. I was a big fan of the Ligier team and when it eventually folded, even though by then it was the Prost team, something died in me, the passion for F1 was diminished. Then with teh Hamilton/Alonso excitement last year, this year's night race, the rise of BMW and Kubica...it really is great how the sport just keeps you enthralled, just as it always did do (the 6 wheel Tyrrell, turbos vs non-turbos, tyre wars, driver grudges, Senna vs Prost.. usually there is always a story, a focus in F1.

For Honda it is dreadfully sad that due to rubbish cars and engines, huge talents like Button and Rubens are just wasting away. For Rubens this is especially tragic, at the back end of a career, he won't be around if/when Honda eventually gets its act together. That he was denied a possible win in Silverstone this year by the failing of Honda's fuel rig was yet another desparate blow to the guy.

Best wishes,
Adam

Expertise

I`m a big F1 fan and have been since the early 80s. I read weekly European specialist F1 press and keep on top of what`s happening in F1, such as results and testing, team politics, what drivers are saying etc. I`m especially a follower of the French Prost (formally Ligier) team and am also involved in karting and sports car racing in England.

Experience

Writing accounts of the performance of the (then)Ligier team during Grand Prix meetings. Organinsing karting competitions for 300+ drivers and of course being an Allexperts Formula One expert
