Auto Racing/crate engine choice

Question
I wonder if you have a favorite SBC crate motor? Im looking for 450-500 hp for street/strip in a 66 Nova, preferably a turnkey motor. I knew there were plenty of options but this is mind-boggling.     Thanks so much

Answer
I don't really prefer the crate motors. I would rather build my own, because I know its done right. I have seen horror shows with crate engines, from trash in the oil pan to wrong sized bearings. The luck of the draw is if the persons building that particular engine were on the ball and are in a good mood when they built it.
I think instead of buying a factory crate motor, my choice would be to go with a Bill Mitchell assembly or Beck Racing engines. These guys know what they are doing.
