I have a 350z and I live in sarasota, is there anyone you would suggest bringing this to for performance upgrades?

If you intend to do internal modifications I would suggest Mike Broadway at Competition Motorsports on 5428 Ashton Court. phone is 926 3110

It happens that the Other guy I would recommend you start with would be A-Z Auto repair, Dave Metcalf, across the drive from Mike, phone is 924 7323..  Dave has a busy retail repair operation and might not be interested in getting into performance modifications, but he might know somebody.

For camshafts there's Cam Techniques, Dave Generous is the owner and has a long history working with Bob Sharpe Racing in New England, and was the hands on cam guy for Paul Newman's IMSA Trans Am effort which won several championships. His number is 727-5552 He's at 6791 Whitfield Industrial Blv. off new 301 between Whitfield Av and 63rd. Av. S Bradenton.

Finally there's Bodies (that's pronouonced 'Bow-deez')  Automotive 2515 12th. St. Sarasota.  955 9852  He has the unlikely name of Bodie Boom and mostly works with big iron- - -Chevys, stock and drag cars. You can call and see if he'd be interested.   

Since I do all my work myself, or at least among friends, I don't know of any shops that do bolt on modifications.

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
