Auto Racing/Which carb?

Question
Hey Mike, I have a question. Which carb would you bolt on to a 1986 Chevy C10 shortbed 350 short, Hedman headers,Dual Flowmasters, Edelbrock intake, K&N filter, Fast Road Cam, 400 turbo Tranny with a shift kit. At the moment it runs a stock Q-Jet but I want either an edelbrock performer 600cfm or a Holley (with Vac seconds) Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
Personally I'd opt for the edlebrock, which is a take off of the old carter AFB.  A holley is great for racing because of it's infinite tuning possibilities, but they are fussy and need a lot of maintenance.  For any road and occasional racing, it's hard to have fun when you're working on it all the time.
