Question
I'm 14 and I would like to start racing but I do not know how much it is . Does an body know

Answer
Hi Jonaathan

Here's your answer- - it's expensive. But a lot of people manage to do it.  You're probably not going to be able to afford it right away, and if you don't stay in school, you will never have a chance.   Most fo the professional race drivers you see these days are college graduates, and many have engineering degrees. That takes a LOT of math and science, so STAY in SCHOOL and study really hard.

One way you can start now, if your parents will allow it, is to start driving and racing Go Karts.  You can learn more about that by going to www.WKA.com - - or Google World Karting Association .

RAcing is a lot of fun and talented peprsons CAN become professional race drivers, but it is a LOT of work and a lot of sacrafice.

Good luck !

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
