Question
hey Dan does a mini stock need to be a 4 door or can it be a 2 door?
Also does the roll cage have to be done by a licensed welder or can me and my buddies weld one?
Thanks chase.

Answer
At to the 2 door-4 door thing, check your local rule book.  I can't imagine that they'd specify a 4 door.

Your roll cage should be done by a "certified" welder. Certified by the American Welding Society. A roll cage is a VERY important part of the safety system and also serves to stiffen and strengthen the chassis.  Bad welding can look "good" and still be bad. NEVER  compromise on safety - - -  NEVER.

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
