Question
I NEED HELP!

How can i get the most horsepower and performance out of my Nissan Altima 3.5 SE without payin more than 5,000$ ?

Answer
Hi Pier:
I don't think I can help you much. you might try finding a turbo charging kit or something like that.

Your Nissan Altima is a street car- -I know very little about them since I work only with "real" race cars for racing on tracks.

You see street cars are controlled by computer systems designed to maximize fuel economy. Fuel economy is not important to racers, getting more fuel to go through the engine is what we try to do. Your engine is fed by an electronic fuel injection system. We use carburetors.

I'm sorry but I really don't know what to tell you other than change to a K&N air filter, and put on an open exhaust.

Good luck

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
