Question
Hello, I am becoming interested in F1 and specially the end of season Elf Master race, thing that I don't have much information! Could you give me a little bit more information about it, the only thing I know is that is a indoor track, I would really like to see the specifications and design of the track, do you know of any web site that may contain such information! Best whishes,
Antonio

Answer
Hello Antonio,
I share your interest in the end of season kart race for F1 drivers, since it started in 1993 it has been a unique opportunity to see the world's best drivers competing against each other in EQUAL MACHINERY.

The venue is not a permanent kart track, but the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy (POPB), which is why there isn't too much information available on the track itself. As you probably know it's quite long (>1000m)and winds in and out of 2 halls.

Some websites with information can be found at:
http://www.bercy.fr/
http://www.123envoiture.com/detail-lieu-public-31.html
http://www.mondial-karting.com/histor1/histori.htm

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/brad.spurgeon/bercy.HTM
http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns00407.html

Technical information on Bercy such as track specs might be  easiert to find from French-language sources or from teh POPB bookshop there. Also, you can get a video of the event which may help you as well as be great to watch. I found a copy for you on Ebay (Item number: 6382991510) at a cheap price.

Hope this helps,
regards,
Adam

Expertise

I`m a big F1 fan and have been since the early 80s. I read weekly European specialist F1 press and keep on top of what`s happening in F1, such as results and testing, team politics, what drivers are saying etc. I`m especially a follower of the French Prost (formally Ligier) team and am also involved in karting and sports car racing in England.

Experience

Writing accounts of the performance of the (then)Ligier team during Grand Prix meetings. Organinsing karting competitions for 300+ drivers and of course being an Allexperts Formula One expert
