Question
I own a 1991 GEO Storm GSI 2+2 I was woundering if there was any way to change out the 1.6l (DOHC) 16v 4cyl with a V6 if so which V6 would be best and what would I need to do to make it work?

Answer
It's probably possible, but the car is so  small that it would take a lot of re-designing, and some engineering to make it all work.

It's not a project I would recommend.

If you want to go faster, save your money and get the Subaru turbo WRX.  They're about $27,000.00 and a real little rocket ship !

Sorry, I wish I had better news, but it's certainly beyond the scope of an amateur mechanic. And in any case, it would be horrendously expensive.

Good Luck

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
