Hi
I have a golf 1991 1.8 L 8V and i would like to increase Horse power and torque , will a neuspeed cam and a 57i K&N Induction kit do the job and what about a new performance chip also.

Hi Ayman:

The Neuspeed cam and KN filter kit will help, the next thing you should do is find an exhaust header and free flowing exhaust system, that will complement what you have already done. Then look into a high performance chip to finish off the deal

For a street car you will hae a pretty quick little VW

Anything you do beyond that involves engine disassembly and expensive internal components, plus a LOT of labor.

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
