Question
Looking for a source of Sodium filled valves with a stem size of .4685.  Most I have found are in the .547+ range.  Also looking for valve guide seals for same.
Any ideas?

Answer
Hey Doug:

Wow , that's a 12 mm valve stem !  Don't drop one on your toe !!

I would start looking with Goodson Machine Shop Supply (www.goodson.com)  then try Ferrea Racing Valves. (www.ferrea.com ) Of course there are a few others, but they are two of the biggest that I know of.  They are both honorable companies that I have used in the past with consistent success.

In the case of Ferrea, I know that they will make custom orders, but you should have your wallet real ready for a shock.

If you don't have any luck, write back in a day or two and I'll put it to a pro engine builder nearby. He has a goldmine of sources that I don't know about .

Good luck

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
