Question
Do you know anything about the history of nascar? If so, could you please tell me what you know because I have to do a project on nascar. Thank you.

I know a littel , being in Florida. Originally the stock car races were held in Daytona Bewach , partly on the beach itself, and the beach front roads.  Then in 1959 the France family built the Datyona International Speedway. NASCAR has been growing ever since.  I've been there many times and raced on the speedway in amateur racing several times, I like the track, others don't.

But I'm no expert on their history. I did a Google "nascar history" and got 4.2 MILLion possibilities, so there is plenty of material available for your project.

I wish you luck with the project.  Nice to have younger people interested in the history of motor sports.

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
