Question
I just got into drag racing and recently purchased a 79 5.0l mustang.  I have been "souping" it up little by little.  My question is if i purchase a supercharger for a 86-93 5.0l what things do i need to do to make work. My car has carb.

Answer
HI Bob:

Thanks for your question.  I'm sorry but I can't help you ,I left drag racing in the 1960's to persue road racing where the rules prohibit forced induction.

I'd suggest you get ahold of Summit Racing <www.summitracing.com> and call their tech line for full information.  They are great when it comes to helping young and beginning racers with their questions and they have many qualified people on their staff.   Plus , they sell the stuff you need at very good prices.

Good luck

Experience

I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
