it winter time as you know in the early mornings when i get in my 1978 Chevrolet Malibu classic when i get ready to pull off i have to raise the engine for my 350 turbo transmission to catch it didn't do this in the summer it just started is it time for a new one

Answer
Did you check the fluid level with the engine running and the car in park? If the level is good what color is the trans fluid? Do you have the vacuum modulator hooked up? What about the kickdown linkage?
If everything checks out you might need a new tranny. You can quote one on my site www.lyonsperformance.com Just click on the custom order page.
