Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 10/30/2007

I have a 1997 Lumina, we bought used a couple of months ago, and I was installing a remote start system this past weekend and came across a weird bypass module for the VATS system. They yellow start wire was cut and this module thing has six wires, a green and a white going to the key side of the cut yellow wire, a red and a black going to the starter side of the cut yellow wire, and finally a brown and a blue going to chasis ground. I believe it is for the vats system, because when I disconnect the VATS wires from the key switch the car still starts. I don't know who makes this modle, there is no identification marks on it at all. The security light would stay on all the time if the bulb wasn't burnt out. The problem with this module is that the anti grind feature doesn't work now. I tried starting the car without this module, and no crank. I even tried hooking it up in series with the wires from the remote start system and still no crank. Any ideas?
The remote start system is a Viper 562T

Oooop! You must have
missed the big yellow button on the
