Expert: INSTALLSUPPORT - 8/20/2007

Question
The alarm/starter disable feature quit working after a battery that I had went dead.  This appears to be an add-on system that has its control module up under the dash rather than in the LH trunk area as is shown in my shop manual.  It's a cig pack size unit that has a dedicated horn (as opposed to using the car horns), a shock sensor under the dash, as well as a little red light thats installed in the instrument bezel.  The module has a big blue Ford oval on it.  It has two 20 amp inline fuses which both appear to be good.  The red light will be on at times so I guess the unit is getting power.  The malfunction prevents the alarm from working and disables the starter.  I can get the car to start by pushing up on a little button that's been installed under the dash near the fuse box, and turning the ignition key.
Is this some sort of dealer installed system?
What could the problem be?
I have pictures of these different components i can send if that would help.

I think this is the securelock from Ford.
