QUESTION: Recently I have been having problems with starting my car after I engage the alarm system. I leave the car engage the alarm and when i return it either won't turn off or looks like it turned off and the car won't start. Sometimes it starts and then just shuts off. I also here a clicking from a box in the front end of the engine compartment...Its running fine and has a new battery and cables... Help!!

ANSWER: Please be more specific.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: The only light I've ever seen on the dash is a red dot that flashes when the alarm is on, nothing that says "security" when the alarm goes off... Yes the headlights flash alternating with parking lights and the horn honks. I also noticed that sometimes (leading up to this) the alarm fob just would not work either to turn the system on or off.Needs new batteries maybe?

Possibly. This car also has an immobilizer
in it. It could have been reset in all of this.

I might suggest after you replace the battery
in the remote and no joy, contact the local
Dodge dealer to have them inspect and reset it.
