Question
Thieves broke into my Silverado and I was unsure exactly how. The next day I am driving along and I hear something fall down inside the drivers side door. I discover the keyed door lock mechanism is missing and I assume fallen to the bottom of the door. Is this a method of forced entry, and what can I expect when I open it up.
It is the method they used to get in obviously.
You would expect to find the punched out key switch
cylinder in the bottom of the door.
You will need to affect repairs with a new one,
but it should be a simple mechanical parts
substitution from what I can see.
