Auto Theft Prevention/2002 F150 Supercrew fuel shutoff alarm?

Question
My Father-in-law just purchased a 2002 F150 Supercrew Lariat with the keyless entry system, and it has an extra keyfob with it that has 2 buttons in addition to the OEM keyles entry fob. It seems to be a fuel shutoff type device-if you start the truck without pressing the button on the opposite end of the keyfrob from the keychain-it'll sputter and die. If you press this button while it's sputtering,it'll smooth out and run like normal. Also if you press this button before attempting to start the truck-it runs like normal. He really wants this thing removed-he terrified the battery in the remote will die and he'll be stranded with no way to start the truck. Any ideas?
Thans,
Johnny

Answer
On this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project. I honestly do not
know this product.

Good luck there.
