Auto Theft Prevention/Ignition Interrupt Keypad

Question
Hi, I sold an '88 Toyota Camry in 2006.  The new owner just called me because he is unable to get the security feature of this ignition interrupt to work.  I said I would check with you.  He knows the code that usually releases the interruption, but it isn't working and he cannot get the car started.
I am guessing from other answers you have given about alarms that this is an "aftermarket" addition.  All I know is that it was on the car when I bought it in 1988.
Any ideas?  Any way to disable the ignition interrupt or should he look for a new keypad?
  Thanks!

Answer
Dear Maureen,
It may simply have popped a fuse.
But no, if it is not responding to the code
then it would need to be replaced.

Tell him to go to my site at www.12voltplanet.com
and see the keypad disabler system there for 29.95

Best I can offer you since these can no losse programming,
something else I can not inspect may be causing it to malfunction.

It's best to start fresh at this point.

I hope this helps some.
