Question
I have a 2007 avalanche and installed a nav,GPS radio from a 2008 gm truck.Ever since I have a drain on my battery and the dealer cannot seem to find it. The radio reads Locked on the screen. The dealer was going to unlock it but my battery keeps running down very quickly. Does this radio have some security feature that will cause this type of effect?

Answer
Sounds as if the wrong wire is connected somewhere.
But that's hard to say what the problem could
be without first hand inspection.

If you would, restate this question in my installers
forum at www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project. More eyes on this may shake
an idea loose.

They can go into a more detailed assistance
you might need on this project.

Good luck there.
