Question
I have the same problem as reported by one person in August: the factory-installed anti-theft system sounds for no reason.  This is FACTORY-INSTALLED, not aftermarket; horn honks, lights flash, LED in door and security warning on dash all flashing.  3 times last night. What can I do about it?

Answer
I'd start with the obvious things like malfunctioning door
triggers. and anything that is causing a current drain spike
when the key is turned off.

This can be caused by bad batteries, or a perceptable
drain of current from a dome light, trunk,
even the cig lighter. But all tied into the charging
system, and the sensors of the Honda security.

If the BCM is malfunctioning, you are taking big dough.
If it's reading a perceptable power spike, then check
the charging system PRIOR to going the expense of
a new battery or parts replacement. You may need
to replace on or the other part, but figure
out which before you replace all of them.

If all else fails, an ounce of preventitve
maint. with a Honda service departmant is advised
for best overall evaluation purposes.
Actually, advised in the first place since this car
has the Honda immobilizer in the ignition and they
know best how to handle it.

I hope this help you to figure it out.
