Auto Theft Prevention/viper alarm

Question
I recently bought a 95 Honda Prelude SE 5 speed. Car seems to run amazing except for a few electrical problems. One of which seems to be the Viper alarm. First of all the remote key that came with the car/alarm had been damaged when thrown against a wall I'm still able to use it but it has trouble when I'm five feet from the car let alone practically touching it. I was able to get a new key from a friend at work but have no idea where the valet button is or how to reprogram new remote. Also the remote was damaged prior to my receiving the car so i have no idea if any of these problems were happening before the remotes damage. I'm thinking that this damaged remote may be causing a second problem. The alarm will randomly go off for no reason at all and there is no one around and no cars with sound systems or anything like that. my car is like a little more than five feet from my apartment window so I'm able to know for sure. one thing i noticed tho is that one of the times my car made a chirp noise about 8 times consecutive not sure on exact number and the alarm went off maybe 2 hours later. I have never had an alarm so I'm not even for sure how this one works or what is programed or even what light means what on the remote during different situations. The remote has an orange green yellow and red light, lock, unlock, aux and star buttons. I am hoping that maybe this alarm problem is related to the remote. Additional information that might help.
The abs light comes on about 70% of the time about 20 ft into driving. Periodically oil light will flash on and off mid drive but goes away when car is restarted. Oil is full and compression was fine on cylinders. also sometimes dash lights aren't working but that problem i only noticed twice some of the climate control buttons were not glowing. I hope this was enough information and thank you for your time.

Answer
Your question prompted this
automated responce to a
DEI equipment support inquiry...

DEI EQUIPMENT SUPPORT SERVICES ARE NOT
PART OF THE INFORMATION THAT I OFFER HERE
AT ALARMTEK.

You must have missed that big note I placed
on the ALLXPERTS site about VIPER and
about remote programming. (www.CARPROTECTOR.com)

You have the wrong guy here. I don't
provide support for DEI equipment or they're
clientel, PAST or PRESENT.

Too many people have been asking
for the service they should be providing, and
I won't do they're job here any longer.

I now refer these inquiries to either my forum
at www.installsupport.com, www.directed.com
or, I even have a couple of guys at
sales@tampacaralarms.com or,
ctursi@optonline.net , who might be able
to offer some insight.

Both good guys and they will treat
you right.

Good luck with your
DEI info quest.
