Auto Theft Prevention/PASSKEY Problem...

Question
I have a 2000 Buick Regal, with the PASSKey system. Recently, when I shift the car from drive to park, the ignition does not let go of the key, and I cannot turn the car all the way off. It stays in the position where the shift indicators on the dashboard are lit, but nothing else. To get the key out, I have to either wait until I hear the click, or restart the car, drive it around for about 30 seconds, then repark, and hope that I hear the click. It seems to be getting worse (I have to repeat the process several times) before I am able to take my key. Is this something that I have to get the ignition replaced, or would a PASSKey bypass system work?

Answer
Ah, not unusual. Ok, this one is doable.
The Galaxy PASSKEY 1-2 Bypass module will fix
this issue. It's also called the PLJX
(see at www.PASSLOCK2.com) if you'd like
to aquire it. Once done, it will release the lockout
situation you are in, and will keep it disabled
as long as the input wire stays grounded.

Take it to a local car alarm / remote starter intaller
to do it correctly & you'r all set.

Have a good evening.
I hope it works out for you.
