Auto Theft Prevention/how to reprogram 91 Jeep Cherokee Keyless Entry

Question
Hi! I recently bought a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Briarwood and after finding and buying an original owners manual, I found out the car has keyless entry. I did not receive a remote with the car, but I have located a "good used" one I can buy reasonably. I called the dealer for the FCC ID# and was told that you have to remove the remote sensor from the cieling of the car to get the numbers. I did and found 5 numbers followed by a letter. Can I buy the used remote and reprogram it for my car using those numbers?
Thank you
Evan

No can do. Really, as it said very clearly
on the site you just asked this from,
I do not sell replacements remotes,
or provide programming for remotes here.

Still true.
Sorry about that.
