Question
I may have been squeezing the keyless entry when I went to start the car. This set off the alarm, and now it won't start at all. The battery seems fine, I can run the radio and put windows up and down. Turning the key to ignition, it'll crank a little but nothing won't start, and the alarm will go off again. Could the security system be preventing the car from starting? I tried resetting the factory installed  system by turning the key to the on position and flipping the valet switch, but  it still won't start and alarm goes off

Answer
Then the next thing here is to remove the alarm unfortunately.
If the valet is not working, then the obvious choice now
for me is to take it out.

Now, with starter kill, there would be no cranking at all.
Nada, no nothing. If you are getting a semi crank out of it,
then you have other issues like a bad alternator etc...

I'd start with the charging system to determine the trouble,
but if no joy there, then drop the underpanel from the
steering column, take the harnesses off the alarm, and
repair the starter wire.

You can get the chart for the car at www.wiringcharts.com
to retro fit this safely.

I hope this puts you on the path
to fix it.
