Auto Theft Prevention/Car wont start - Faulty alarm system

Question
I have an after market alarm system.  I read your answer where you tell the driver to turn the key forward before cranking and then hold the reset button and the the theft light will stop flashing.  I tried that and then found there was NO wire connected to the reset button.  The funny thing here is that the car will start sometimes on the first crank. Most of the time it takes several attempts. But this time it wont start at all.

Answer
Then it's time for you to remove the starter kill
relay inline on the starter wire under the dash
at the ignition switch, or replace the valet
switch so you can control it.

Short of that, you will continue to have issues
until you decide to make those changes.

Wish there was something easier to do, but
from your description, I can't think of anything else.

I hope this made sense to you.
