Auto Theft Prevention/2001 Pontiac Montana wont start

Question
I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana took the battery post off.  When I put the battery post on, the van will no longer start.  It wont even crank over.   There is a picture with a car and a lock over it (I believe this is the Canadian version of the Anti Theft).  It flashes from the Anti-Theft to the battery picture, to the fuel picture back to the anti-theft and continues.  I left the key on the "ON" position for 30 minutes and its still doing the same thing and will not start.   The indicator lights for park, reverse, and forward are all lit up instead of just the ones.   Any idea what this could be?  Thank you ever so kindly.

Answer
This is the PASSKEY III GM immobilizer system.
It will not reset like that. You will need
to contact your local Pontiac dealer to
have them reset/reprogram yours.

Yes there is a bypass module available for
it, but it is a special order piece (99.95).

However if it's me, I would start at Pontiac
to see what they charge for the reset service.
