Auto Theft Prevention/GM Aftermarket Alarm

Question
I have an alarm installed in my newly purchased 1999 GMC Savanna Van.  Listed on the alarm module is the name "GM Accessories" with an FCC ID "EZS249564" and a manufactured date of Sept 98.  The alarm is always "on".  I found the valet switch, but cannot get the alarm to reset.  The original remotes had an FCC ID "EZSOEMTX".  I purchased a new remote but it doesn't seem to "communicate" with the alarm, nor does another remote that I purchased with the same FCC ID and the P/N #12495745.  Should I give up on this alarm and just buy a different one, or is there something that I might still be doing wrong?  Any idea who manufactured this model and how I might find a manual to lead me through the install process to see if something is not connected properly?  Many thanks for your service!

Answer
On this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.

Good luck there.
