yes ionly had one key for my 1996 mercury sable,i ran over it with my lawn mower,it still starts the car but runs for seconds the stops till i turn swith off then starts and stops again, what can i do to get it running im fixed income and ford here wants app'160.00 dollars to fix im sure they are a way i can bypass the theft mechanisum,,help me???????
No can do lawn guy, sorry.
The key is "key" to the whole puzzle with this
PATS system The programming is gone, and with fords,
the ignition key contains the code to match
the reader in the ignition, to open the fuel
rail to allow for starting. Your's is mulch. :>(
The keys need replacing and reprograming.
Sorry bout the fixed income thing, but blame Ford
for the costs, I just report the news.
